About this viewer

A browser-local viewer for 360° sample media. Selected files are read through your browser’s local File API and blob URLs. The viewer contains no footage upload, analytics or tracking code. Hosting and sign-in are provided by Sites.

What this build supports

Raw projection is approximate. The viewer does not apply camera-specific lens calibration, optical-flow seam blending or FlowState gyro stabilization. Pair playback is approximately synchronized through native video elements. Final review should use a stitched export from Insta360 Studio.

Multiple-video-track INSV containers are detected but not demuxed. Codec playback, including HEVC, depends on the browser, operating system and hardware. A 2:1 shape alone is not proof that a source is equirectangular. Metadata reads are bounded; decoded frame size is limited to 32 megapixels across the selected sources and the graphics device’s texture limit.

Verification

Container, cancellation, media-cleanup and playback-control regressions are covered by synthetic tests, including FFmpeg-generated H.264, AAC and HEVC inspection fixtures. Real camera footage has not yet been validated. The test panorama is procedural, not a camera sample. A cloud-browser check confirmed the layout and file-error paths; that browser does not provide WebGL, so spherical rendering remains unverified there. When WebGL is unavailable, the viewer shows the original source with native playback controls instead.
